Remote work is one of the signs of our time. It is already a common phenomenon in the labor market. It consists in the fact that paid work in the form of tasks commissioned by contractors is carried out outside the so-called company headquarters. Colloquially, it is understood remote work by carrying out tasks at home via - as the Labor Code says - electronic means of communication. Hence older names such as "telework" and "e-work", which evolved into the form of remote work, but in fact the idea remains at its core the same. Activity results and indicator reports are sent to the employer via the internet. And because the internet is everywhere, you can perform entrusted tasks anywhere, anywhere on the planet.
If you mention the old Chinese saying, " if you do what you like, you'll never have to work " remote work can become synonymous with eternal vacation.

In accordance with the challenges and possibilities, specialists are increasingly deciding to change their place of residence, thanks to which they benefit more from their activities. Some travel around the world, guided by their preferences or the need to adapt to the time zones of their contractors. If there is no network in the rented flat, you can easily sign a contract with one of the local suppliers. The contract is convenient, its solution is simple and cost-free - usually three months after its conclusion. By using the fast net no speed drops or other problems are noted. It is true that access to the network also offers most entertainment venues, but here the network speed is rarely enough for something more than social media. So if you are not a consultant or adviser whose duties mainly consist of listening to someone's problems or conducting interviews, it is better to secure yourself and buy Internet access. For less demanding tasks, you can use the mobile internet - it is provided by European tycoons such as vodafone and orange. After purchasing and registering the card with the operator, an identity document is shown and then the internet is with us everywhere and always. The second important thing is getting to the place.
There is no rule regarding the amount of time spent here. Some live in Tenerife for eight months, and for the rest of the year they appreciate the charms of eternal holidays on the spot in Poland. From the country we have a convenient connection with the Canary Islands with low cost airlines from several cities. The time that separates us from a charming place in the Atlantic is only six hours. Getting around is also easy. In the longest place, Tenerife measures 90 kilometers, everywhere can be reached relatively quickly.
The main roads break through the rocks and mountains, some run through tunnels. It is better to use the less frequented routes after getting to know the area first, because they are usually narrow and do not allow you to turn back, but this element of surprise belongs to the local attractions, i.e. trips by rented jeep. If you do not want to move by car, the island is very well connected by city buses. You can reach them in every corner, not even touristy, because the lines were created for local residents. It is best to get on board the bus with the so-called BONO ticket. He has a certain amount to use, for example 15 euros and it does not matter who and when uses it. You can ride two people by bouncing the ticket back to the driver twice. If the amount remaining on the ticket is too small to pay for the journey, the difference is easily adjusted in cash. Using BONO pays off because it gives you a 40% discount on journeys compared to tickets bought directly from the driver. It is worth spending some time to find out what attractions Tenerife offers. The cheapest, however, will travel by car - renting is 25 euros, or 18 for regular customers. If we work remotely and at the same time experience endless holidays, we will become a regular customer very quickly.
Tenerife: Cost of living on site
Since issues of access to the network and general communication present the image of Tenerife in positive colors, it's time for more vibrant colors, namely the cost of living on site. We know this is an individual matter - some can live for 400 euros, others are not enough 1000. The minimum does not differ much from Polish, as long as we pay all bills there are contractors who, in addition to remuneration, lure employees with the option of paying their debts. In the course of work, new contacts are established - especially here, where an accidental conversation on the beach can result in a new job. Returning to the topic of the cost of living in Tenerife, it must be said that water and electricity cost here the same as in Poland. Store offers can be checked online - some of the food is produced locally, so bananas, grapes, tomatoes and potatoes are relatively cheap and are not burdened with a transport margin. The rest of the diet costs depending on your preferences, but without too frequent extravagance, it looks very favorable. Especially since seafood certainly falls out cheaper than in Poland, while in a warm climate it is enough to calmly eat. Goat cheese, wine and most homemade dishes also cost a little money. Another issue related to the cost of living is an apartment.
Find a place
There is no problem finding a place - Tenerife lives from tourism, and traffic service requires a full range of offers, from a student room to studio apartments in the hotel buildings. You can often find hotels converted into private apartments - in this option, the tenant often has a swimming pool and a large terrace, or entrance to the roof, and the time is pleasing to the ocean views. There is also no trouble renting an apartment or room from an islander instead of through an agency. Often, however, in most of these places the kitchen is small, and most of its equipment will be a microwave. Only that such premises are very affordable and the money saved can be safely invested in dining out somewhere "in the city", which for most freelancers who are reluctant to cook independently is an extremely attractive option. When renting a place, it is worth sticking to two rules - make contact with the sub-tenant before the first payment and check in which language the possible host speaks. In the whole of Tenerife you can communicate in English and German, there are also information boards in these languages.

Remote work - evolution
In fact, the evolution of remote work results not only from the expansion of the network but from the legislator's conception of ideas and the variability of the nature of the goals of the activities of most of the enterprises operating on the market. The development of procedures describing remote work was the result of the fact that it is impossible to predict all the options in which the situation may develop. However, the Code initially classified remote work as having an ad hoc or regular nature. The first case was an exceptional situation, when, for example, an employee had to be at home at a certain moment because he was waiting for a commission from a cooperative or an electrician, therefore the employer allowed him to perform duties at home. The second e-work classification resulted from the amount of time the employee spent on performing tasks remotely. In this way, the labor market used the terms permanent (full-time), alternating (some days at home, some at the office) and complementary (most of the time at the office, in rare cases at home). It is noteworthy that in most expert studies the terms teleworker and freelancer were seen practically the same, and the names were used synonymously. Along with the development of technology and new solutions, there were more and more situations in which the employment of a remote employee was the only chance for a given company to attract specialists.
